Surf across collaborations of epic proportions and experience works of art from Robert Rich & Steve Roach or Gerhard Behles & Robert Henke. Be transported through time and space with beautiful music from Indian tabla master Qureshi Alla Rakha Khan. Alla Rakha was born in 1919 and became fascinated with the sound and rhythm of the tabla at the age of 12. Drifting across the globe and spanning decades in between, I chose the infamous Zakir Hussain to wind down the mix with more aural interpretations of the desert.

Featuring Afrika Bambaataa who ascended to godfather status with Planet Rock, the 82′ hip-hop classic which blended the beats of hip-hop with techno-pop futurism inspired by German pioneers Kraftwerk. I was delighted to be contacted by Simon Hayes a.k.a Swarm Intelligence recently. He kindly offered to record a DJ mix as part of the AgentCast series. Currently based in Berlin and active on the music scene for a number of years he also manages the Stasis Records label. As a DJ and producer, Simon is skilled at intertwining many Electronic genres. A number of Irish labels and producers feature on this excellent 30 track excursion through complex IDM and broken Techno. Big shout out to Stasis Records and a big thank you to Simon… check out his other mixes and the excellent releases on Stasis Records. Hopefully we will hear more from Simon on Invisible Agent this year. Enjoy the mix.

The latest AgentCast from Warren Daly is a smooth blend of minimal electronic textures and floating ambient soundscapes. It includes delicate trickles and singing reverberations from Arovane, Japanese composer Hirohito Ihara (a.k.a Radicalfashion), Pete Namlock and Robert Rich to name just a few. Warren generally concentrates on mixing Electro and Techno but in this instance he covers many distinctive and elegant styles of electronica and awakens a multitude of emotions, highlighting his diversive and innovative abilities.

Plenty of 303 action from Richie Hawtin’s ‘do da doo’ later complimented by Corrugated Tunnel’s ‘Acid Rox’ on Invisible Agent. I’m loving Surgeon’s double rework of Ed Chamberlain’s ‘Synthia’ . [...]
