It brings me up, makes me smile
One of my favourite independent electronic musicians… Dominic Giam aka Ketsa has a new album coming out soon and I was privileged to get a preview copy from my friend Warren over at Invisible Agent… in short: it is an utterly delightful expression of the cosmopolitan plurality of now… and I love it. I am […]
Ghostkid: Things That Go Dub In The Night – Reviewed
It’s been about 4 months since I heard Donny Jankowski’s last output, The Unlikely Future of Reverse Engineering. His latest album ‘Things That Go Dub In The Night’ on BFW Recordings is different in many ways but you can immediately identify Ghostkid’s sound and that’s a wonderful gift.
Art is born from democracy: Leonardo Rosado’s new album – opaque glitter
Opaque glitter is an excellent ambient album that has plenty of experimental elements and found sounds. It remains inviting and evokes further intrigue, making you content to start the journey all over again. Recommended.
Danseizure’s LP “This is Danseizure” – detailed review by Dovetail (Katie Weed)
At once energetic, ambient, and brimming with both field recordings and original sounds, the appeal of Danseizure’s LP “This is Danseizure” lies in his ability to grasp the ephemeral, detailed mystery of countless moments, all in the span of ten tracks.
Ambienteer – Ataraxia
How I missed this is beyond me. I follow James Fahy’s music dairy closely, my only explanation for leaving his album slip through the net is having Christmas shenanigans with friends who came to visit me in Cambodia. Anyhow, I’ll get on with it… Ambienteer gifts us with an 8 track album of wondrous ambient […]
wAgAwAgA – Hyper Typewriter – Acroplane Recordings
If Phuture and Adamski sold their possessed 303s and Junos to bass crazed space invaders from another dimension, this is what the alien transmission might sound like. Actually, Hyper Typewriter would sound better. wAgAwAga employs earth-shaking bass-lines and a near fanatical use of intricate acid tweaking. The 303 programming is complex and keeps you constantly […]
!kaboogie 5th birthday sampler – download it now!
When it comes to dirty, low, rib cage rumbling bass mixed with a dose of jump up, not many people do better then !kaboogie. Purveyours of grimey dub, they propagate the work of Irish DJs and producers through their label and club nights. It happens to be !kaboogie’s 5th birthday soon, and as a big […]

The war on music
It’s foolish to ignore the future of music distribution. It’s obvious that the old encumbents are bloated and slow to act.
I AM CORRUGATED – Altsounds.com Review
Don’t be fooled into thinking this album is a one hit wonder, it’s not.
