I get back to the underground with this rougher, tougher earth-shaking mix. It’s straight up ‘ruffneck business and ting’ for a solid hour. I swing it from old school Jungle Techno, Amen heavy Drum & Bass to Hindustani and Asian Underground. I dumped Ableton and used the free, open source DJ software MiXXX on Linux. If you want a roller coaster ride featuring fast & furious breakbeat spanning back as far as 1990 get downloading now.
No need to crack open a can of Red Bull, crank up the volume on this! Get some energy up in this place 
You’ll be quaking in your boots before Noisia’s Shellshock featuring Foreign beggars slaps you in the face, mesmerized by Zakir Hussain and Bill Laswell a.k.a Tabla Beat Science live in San Francisco. I swiftly glide through various genres in this 60 minute aural excursion that includes a few classics. I’m hoping to hear more from Ed Chamberlain soon. I saw him at BLOC in 2007 and his liveset was absolutely brilliant. His last pressing was in 2008 on Baselogic. Fingers crossed he’ll come out with some crackers this year. Adam Freeland supplies a healthy serving of dirty sawtooth bass to keep your woofers rumbling. I couldn’t resist using a tantalizing amount of ‘french kiss’ and ended on the 1994 breakbeat mutation ‘bomb scare’ by 2 Bad Mice. I hope you enjoy the set as much as I enjoyed mixing it.

I was delighted to be contacted by Simon Hayes a.k.a Swarm Intelligence recently. He kindly offered to record a DJ mix as part of the AgentCast series. Currently based in Berlin and active on the music scene for a number of years he also manages the Stasis Records label. As a DJ and producer, Simon is skilled at intertwining many Electronic genres. A number of Irish labels and producers feature on this excellent 30 track excursion through complex IDM and broken Techno. I wanted to mix this selection of tracks for quite a while, I’m glad I finally got around to doing it:) It’s great to hear how well these tracks stood the test of time. A pat on the back is due if you heard them on there release date. I first heard Adonis – ‘no way back’ in ’89, so no Zimmer frame for me just yet! Obviously you’ll be able to find these tracks on various compilations and numerous DJ mixes elsewhere, but I’ve tried to steer clear of dropping in extra layers of cheese.
