Profile

Influenced from an early age by electro and computer generated noises which later became the acid/house sound that evolved in the 80's. over the past couple of years he has become one of the rising stars of the irish electronic scene. His début album is due for release in May 2006.

His latest EP 'high rise' released on (seedyR+Invisible Agent) received 4/5 from DJ magazine:: "Edwin James has been making music since the ’90s, but ‘high rise’ is one of his first proper releases. This release is immaculately produced. The title track juxtaposes crisp percussion and shiny techno chords with a rough low-end and grimy acid.the mournful ‘we are electronix’ worships at the altar of Kraftwerk without getting too close." - DJ Magazine

Edwin plays live electronic sets at home an abroad. He has played @ electric city, DEAF (Dublin Electronic Arts Festival), Bodytonic in Dublin, 3 gigs in New York in Oct 2005 and at the undercurrent sonar show case in Barcelona June 2005.

His recent live support slot to The Hacker remedy in Dublin (Nov '05) to a crowd of over 700 people went down a storm and has raised his profile to the next level.

Acts he has played along side/supported :: The Hacker, Radioactive Man, Bass Junkie, Delinquent Dialect, Dr Skunkenstein, Clone Theory, Heuristic Audio, Chymera and Ikeaboy to name but a few.

Edwin is also one of the founders of seedyr an independent label which releases techno, electro and house.
